This opportunity
The Cloud Sales Specialist Role is an overlay role and will identify, sell and maintain sales relationships within customer accounts across the Enterprise & Government segment. They develop and implement sales plans that solve customer problems and grow our cloud portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Support the wider salesforce to identify, qualify and sell cloud opportunities
  • Lead negotiations and overcome objections for deal closure
  • Manage complex sales cycles and multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Work with sales consultants to discover, identify and meet customer requirements
  • Identify market opportunities and work with our product and partner teams to drive product enhancements
  • Achieve key monthly, quarterly and annual new business sales objectives within the allocated portfolio
  • Maintain up to date and accurate customer contact, pipeline and any other required information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, i.e. Salesforce.
  • Attend weekly sales team meetings to:
  • Review quality and accuracy of Salesforce pipeline
  • Review week on week sales activity and key pipeline movements
  • Agree kick off and approach to any upcoming tenders and opportunities
  • Review status of all active tenders
  • Review short- and long-term Customer relationship quality and key relationship development activities
  • Review open customer issues, actively assisting in resolutions and ensuring timely escalation (eg to Sales Leadership) wherever required
Knowledge and experience
  • 3+ years of experience with IaaS or Public Cloud business solutions to large enterprise customers
  • Good understanding of hypervisors, software and software licensing, compute, storage, networking and security in the context of on-premise and Cloud environments
  • Highly experienced in using a “business solutions” type approach, utilising TPG's product and services to identify customer needs and sell into applicable market sectors.
  • Ability to proactively identify and create new business growth opportunities.
  • Proven cultivator and 'closer' of sales opportunities at the Enterprise organisation level
  • Excellent presentation skills.
