The Hospital:
A modern 99 bed, well-equipped referral facility providing a comprehensive range of services including; acute medical and surgical, obstetrics, paediatrics and a range of diagnostic and allied health services.Medical services include; respiratory, cardiac, chemotherapy, renal and palliative care. Surgical services include; general, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and ophthalmology. The referral community in the area comprises 55,200 residents. The hospital has a busy Emergency Department, a Level 3 Close Observation Unit, mental health unit and renal dialysis unit and all services are supported by local specialist physicians and several general practitioners.
The Requirements
- Qualified medical practitioner registered in Australia or eligible for registration in Australia with at least three years post-graduate experience and appropriate training and experience
- Appropriate training and experience to work towards a leadership role in the ED, which will include being in charge of night shifts, whilst working with direct support from Consultant FACEMS staff on other shifts.
