ROLE DESCRIPTION
We welcome applications from experienced and qualified Machinists who will be responsible for fitting and assembling metal parts into products, setting up machining tools, production machines, and operating machining tools and machines to shape metal stock and castings.
Specifically, the Machinist are responsible for the following activities:
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometres and Vernier callipers.
- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials for the preparation of machinery work.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during machining operations to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Verify the conformance of workpieces to specifications and engineering drawings using precision measuring equipment.
- Understand engineering drawings to determine material and equipment requirements and task sequences.
