Role Details
The Department for Child Protection is seeking multiple Psychologists to join the Psychological Services team.
The role is responsible for:
- Conducting evidence-based, efficient and independent clinical psychological assessments of clients.
- Designing and implementing therapeutic programs that are culturally appropriate and address the presenting issues, individual factors and unique context of clients.
- Providing guidance and assistance to staff and carers through specialist consultation.
- Participating in the development and delivery of training to staff, carers and external agencies.
About You
We are looking for a confident individual who has an understanding of the effect of abuse and neglect on children and young people and the factors that place families at risk.
You will have experience in the use of psychological diagnostic techniques and implementation of therapeutic interventions.

Special Conditions
Essential Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Clinical, Forensic or Health Psychology or equivalent
- Registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National law to practice as a Psychologist
Note: Provisional psychologists (Masters Students) are also encouraged to apply. If you anticipate you will be completing your Masters Degree in 2024 please enquire as we may be able to consider your application at the AHP1 remuneration until registration is completed. Attraction and Retention Allowance is available for successful candidates with endorsement in an area of Psychological Practice.
