Responsibilities:
- Operate within quality standards, ensuring the development of a strong quality culture
- Edit toolpaths using CAD CAM software and adjust programs as needed
- Set up CNC machining mechanical components according to drawings and set up sheets
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines
- Supervise machine operations, making necessary adjustments
- Inspect and measure finished products, ensuring they meet requirements
- Perform daily checks and maintenance on machinery
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline AGSVA clearance (Australian citizenship required)
- Minimum 2 years post-trade CNC experience
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
- Proficient in manual machining, CNC machining, fitting, fabrication, and precision measuring tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Competent in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Sound decision-making skills to ensure compliant parts, safety, and consistency
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environments
- Basic proficiency in CAD CAM software, preferably Solidworks and Solidcam
- Coordinate achievement of defined timelines amidst dynamic operating environments
- Establish and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Hours of work - Monday to Friday 2pm to 10:30pm with 1.5 hours overtime available per shift.
