About the role
We are looking for a skilled CNC MachinistTeam Leader to oversee our CNC machining operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining and a strong background in supervisory roles. The CNC MachinistTeam Leader will be responsible for leading a team of machinists, ensuring that production schedules are met, and maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
This role may be well-suited to someone looking to relocate to Tasmania and enjoy all that Burnie has to offer!
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of CNC machinists to ensure production targets are met
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines as needed
- Train and mentor machinists to improve skills and performance
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machining processes
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment
- Adhere to all OHS requirements

About you
As our newest team member, you will have:
- Unrestricted Australian work rights. This is an absolute must-have
- Experience in a supervisory role
- CNC Machining experience
- Mazak machining experience (desirable)
- A relevant trade certificate such as Certificate 2 or 3 as fitter/turner
- Forklift licence
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Committed and reliable mindset
