The Company
J C Smale Engineering has been operating since 1962 providing global services in engineering, manufacturing and machine building solutions across a number of industries. We are a proud Australian owned business with many large and interesting projects underway and in the pipeline. We are now seeking a skilled Machinist to be part of our team and to share in the success of our company.
Role
You will be making a large variety of components and spare parts from a range of materials on:
- CNC Lathe Fanuc control 880mm turning diameter x 1960mm length
- Centre lathes to 6m centres
- Large Vertical Boring
- Milling machining capabilities advantageous but not essential
- Detailed candidate scope supplied on request
Candidate
- Australian recognised trade qualifications and certificates
- Proven skills and experience for the role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Industry knowledge and safe work practices / OH&S are essential
- Able to work as a member of a team
- Good communication skills
