- Provide practical advice and solutions on all aspects of Safety management, including legislative compliance and the management of risk.
- Deliver direct support to the facilitation and monitoring of risk management and associated application of systems and controls within the business.
- Facilitate and participate in a range of audit & assurance activities in conjunction with the business and provide practical and pragmatic support to assist in managing risk and delivering successful work.
- Provide practical input into the ongoing development and maintenance of the Powerlink HSE Management System.
- Support Powerlink's Leadership & Learning Principles to build trust, forward-accountability and the free-flow of information in order to maximise learning opportunities across the organisation.
- Degree level qualification in a field of safety studies or lesser qualification coupled experience in the relevant field.
- Formal investigation qualification or experience in contemporary event learning approaches
- Formal internal audit qualifications (e.g. ISO45001/IS014001/ISO9001) and experience in delivering formal HSE audits
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, and to work collaboratively with relevant parties towards maintaining mutually beneficial relations.
- Demonstrated experience in applying safety knowledge and processes in a broad range of complex working environments.
- Previous experience in providing safety support to operational or project teams within medium to large technical organisations.
- Certificate IV or above in environmental management. (desirable)
- Electrical Trade qualifications (e.g. Linesman, Electrical Fitter/Mechanic).
- Experience in a safety or environment role within the Construction and/or Electricity Industries
- Ability to operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle
