GuhringAustralia is seeking to expand its cutting tool production workforce at itsfacility based in Mulgrave.

About theposition
The positionis full time 40 hours per week.
Salary Range$70,000 to $75,000
Tasks& Responsibilities
- Fit and put together fabricated metal parts into products, set up and operate machining tools and production machines to shape metal stock and castings
- Responsible for programming and machining of casted metal parts associated with our products in the CNC lathes and Horizontal Milling machine.
- To have the ability to read a machining drawings and specifications, assess the metal casting and determine best method and sequence of operations/machine settings to produce a finished/completed item at the highest quality.
- To be efficient in the machining of metal castings.
- Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal.
- Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or subunits using tack welding, bolting, riveting or other methods
- Flexible in the machining processes and able to adapt to changes – to increase efficiency without compromising quality.
- Checking of completed machined parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments.
- Ensure general house keeping, clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications & experience (but not limitedto)
- Holds a mechanical trade certificate or equivalent
- Has a minimum of 2 years experience
· Experiencein using welding & fitting tools
· Knowledgeof Andronic and Numroto software is an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Proven focus on a Safe Working Environment
· Welldriven with a good work ethic.
· Workas part of a team or autonomously should the need arise
· Canread engineering technical drawings.
