AddressDriving positions are currently available with Australiner in Huntingdale / Oakleigh area to drive charter coaches.
Australiner is a small family owned bus operation servicing a number of private colleges in the East and South- Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
A variety of regular shift times are available ranging from mornings, afternoons through to early evening – we can create a schedule to suit you.
Charter drivers will be engaged to carry school groups on private school services, charter hirings to local sports venues, field trips and the occasional extended deliveries to regional camps and a limited number of interstate destinations for our long-term clients.
There is no obligation to drive any Rail Replacement or Government Contract work.
The suitable candidate will possess:
- A MR driver licence (HR preferred)
- Good driving record
- Working With Children Check
- Driver Accreditation (Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria)
- A demonstrated competency with the operation of buses fitted with a manual transmission
- A willingness to wear the company supplied uniform at all times
- A strong passenger focus
- A disposition towards safety in all aspects of work
Training and Pay
The company is willing to provide training to suitable applicants.
The remuneration offered is above the minimum award rate. All shift starts are structured with a minimum engagement period of 3 hours.
Commencement Date
Positions are available from the commencement of the new school year from Monday 29th January, 2024. Paid training for suitable applicants available in the weeks prior to commencement.
Extra Duties
For the right candidate, a willingness to consider expanding into other roles beyond driving – such as Administration / Office, Early Start, Fleet Presentation and Maintenance would be beneficial.
