Home Care Worker at Uniting, you'll be the heart and soul of our mission to empower independence and enhance the quality of life for older individuals in their own homes. In this position, you'll offer care and companionship to seniors in their residences, fostering their independence and enhancing their quality of life. Travel to clients' homes and communities is essential, using your own vehicle.Responsibilities in this role may involve:
- Helping around the home - Help with housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Aiding with personal hygiene - Assisting with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Supporting wellness through transportation - driving to appointments and accompanying clients on shopping outings or to Uniting's Healthy Living for Seniors programs.
What we're looking for?- Available and committed to work weekends
- Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care.
- Must have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support + Medication Assist, competency unit completed.
- Empathetic and resourceful.
- Flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our Home Care clients.
- You'll need a provisional or full Australian driving licence and ongoing access to a reliable vehicle that's comprehensively insured (not just CTP).
