Monash Health is excited to announce a position for a Coding Assistant within our Clinical Coding Services team. Are you a motivated Administration Officer who is committed to improving documentation accessibility? Do you have exceptional communication skills? Then this is the position for you!
This is a fixed term, part time position commencing in April 2024 and ending 10th January 2025
Up to 59 hours per fortnight are available, job share will be considered.
The right candidate may have the potential to apply for some ongoing hours at the end of this period
You will be working between Monday - Friday and be based at either Monash Medical Centre, Clayton or Dandenong Hospital
About The Role
This position provides administrative support to Clinical Coders & Health Information Services to ensure timely and complete patient health information. Flexibility and autonomy are key aspects of the Coding Assistant team - you will work together to:
Follow up and identify the location of missing documentation
Follow-up outstanding e-documentation queries
Complete Department of Health data reporting requirements
Develop and nurture relationships and liaise with internal /external stakeholders
Develop and nurture an understanding of hybrid record systems, proficiency in Monash Health electronic systems and data accuracy.
