We are looking for an experienced leader to lead our Collections and Local History Team. As the Collections Leader you’ll be responsible for leading a high-performance team responsible for delivering high quality, responsive Collections and Local History services that meet the needs of the Community.
With skills in collection management and analysis, you will support the team to use data to maintain a high performing, innovative collection. With a continuous improvement approach you’ll ensure the Collections and Local History services cater for current and future users of the Libraries.

Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Leads the delivery of quality Collections and Heritage services across the City of PAE.
- Advocates strongly for the role reading plays in the development of literacy and develops services and Collections that build community literacy.
- Leads the development and delivery of Collections that meet the information, learning, recreation, and cultural needs of the community.
The successful applicant will have:
- An ALIA-accredited undergraduate or postgraduate university qualification in library and information science is essential.
- Experience in leading people and teams is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and designing contemporary library collections in a public library environment.
- Experienced working at a Senior level in Library Services is desirable.
- A current Australian Driver’s licence is essential. This role supports multiple library sites across our City.

This is a Level 6 position which has a current salary range of $109,121.02 - $116,699.01 (plus superannuation).
