We are searching for a Commercial Analyst to join our Group Finance Team in Sydney, reporting into our Commercial Manager for Group Functions. You will partner with Group Functions leaders to provide commercial analysis and insights to enable better decisions and manage business performance. You will work closely with senior Group Finance and People & Culture leaders, providing an excellent opportunity to build your partnering skills and commercial acumen. The role is hybrid, which means you’ll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.

A day in the life

• Meet with senior leaders to help them manage their cost centre expenditure
• Conduct analysis and provide commercial insights to support value-adding decision-making
• Deliver quality forecasting, analysis, insight generation and reporting
• Identify risks and opportunities that could impact commercial performance
• Ensure timely, accurate and insightful management of the P&L and balance sheet
• Identify and implement system and process improvements.

What You’ll Bring

• Accounting technical skills including a strong understanding of accrual accounting
• Cost centre management experience is desirable
• Strong Excel, data analysis, modelling and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• A continuous improvement and challenger mindset
• Degree qualification in Commerce/Accounting/Finance
• CA/CPA/ACCA qualification (or working towards)
• 3+ years’ experience working in a large corporate.
