About the role:
In this role you will form part of the Commercial team responsible for business partnering with Warehouse Managers across Australia, providing insightful analysis and commercial recommendation to the Operations leadership and continuous improvement initiatives to bring process efficiencies and cost saving.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform weekly close and analyse weekly performance and provide insights into operational performance (actual vs budget and forecast) to DC managers
- Analyse quarterly performance and provide insights into operational performance based on risks and opportunities
- Analyse operating performance and potential savings using actual, historical and forecast
- Assist in preparation of Capex/Business case for site proposals and do a post implementation review
- Support DC Managers to generate Forecast/Budgets and financials
- Monitor balance sheet accounts ensuring accuracy of financial records
- Calculate site standards and monitor actuals
- Ad hoc reporting and providing financial support to relevant projects
- Continuous improvement to bring process efficiencies
Key requirements:
- Professional qualification gained or working towards – CA or CPA
- At least 5 years’ experience working as a Finance Lead ideally supporting transport or warehousing operations
- Proven business partnering skills
- An analytical and critical thinker with experience working with large volumes of data
- A highly motivated self-starter who takes ownership and looks to add value
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and complex business environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting work priorities
- Proficient in using multiple management information systems
- Advanced Excel skills including Power BI
- Willing to travel interstate as required
- Resilient, self-assured verbal and written communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
