Randstad is working exclusively with an ASX listed energy company that has enjoyed strong growth. This is a long term role for an experienced Commercial & Contracts manager, where you will hold responsibility for the implementation and management of commercial contracts with a blue chip customer base. You will have the opportunity to work with an experienced leadership team, in an organisation which is agile and open to diverse thinking.
Your new role will involve:
- Leading the tender preparation/response process, ensuring robust a legal, insurance, financial/commercial position for the organisation
- Manage and coordinate responses to expressions of interest and pre-qualification packages
- Negotiation and ongoing contracts management of high value agreements with a blue chip customer base, ensuring mutually beneficial commercial outcomes and suggesting forward thinking cost alternatives where appropriate
- Acting as a member of the senior leadership team within the organisation, providing commercial guidance to other managers across operations, marketing, and broader corporate services
- Providing advice on contract related queries from clients and all other external and internal stakeholders and ensuring support is provided where required for ongoing contract administration within the business
- Ensuring adherence to contractual obligations to the client for all commercial correspondence
- Mentorship/leadership of an established commercial specialist with excellent industry knowledge
- Prior commercial and contracts management experience from a capital projects environment or heavy industry
- Demonstrated understanding of contract law
- You will be a confident negotiator, with demonstrable experience in achieving holistic, mutually beneficial commercial outcomes for your business and your customers
- Forward thinking, growth mindset and ability to work within a medium sized company that is always seeking opportunities in the market
- Tertiary qualifications (in conjunction with relevant experience) in commercial, finance, engineering or similar will be highly regarded
- The organisation requires the successful candidate to work in the office on a regular basis however no site travel is required
