We have a position available for an enthusiastic and creative Head Chef to join our team and lead a multi-talented team in our kitchen. With your wealth of experience, you will hit the ground running and live up to the culture and values of the North Adelaide Golf Course.

The North Adelaide Golf Course Pro Shop has a fully refurbished kitchen and has stunning views across the course and City with a number of indoor and outdoor areas. The Par 3 Café is located along the Torrens River with a never-ending stream of passers-by and golfers. Our vision is to make our venues places where people connect over coffee, drinks & lunch. We aim to offer a quality and contemporary family friendly bistro style menu; within a stylish indoor and outdoor setting open 7 days a week. The adaptable and relaxed venues will be a sought-after destination for tourists, the local community and avid golfers from all around Adelaide.
Reporting to the Team Leader Golf Business Operations, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the kitchen whilst supporting and mentoring other team members on site to ensure the production of high-quality food for all hospitality outlets. These outlets include the main Pro Shop, the Par 3 Café and any food and beverage offerings and corporate golf events.
Your day to day will look like
- Providing a strong lead in overseeing all food production operations at the facility and ensuring the production of consistent, high-quality food for all F&B offerings
- Implementation and maintenance of control procedures within the department, including daily food production charts, OH&S and food safety practices
- Driving the creation and maintenance of the menu specification, recipes, pictures, and production forecasts
- Developing, maintaining and evaluating existing food concepts to ensure the highest quality of food, profitability with a focus on sustainability and freshness
- Maintaining a quality sanitation program in all areas of the F&B business
- Stock and inventory management – including providing assistance to the ordering and stock take processes and managing margins
- Facility management and ensuring the kitchens remains useable and safe at all times
Hours
Your working hours may be from 7am-3pm, on Wednesdays to Sundays.
Please note these hours may vary depending on the events.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Extensive experience working in a similar role within the hospitality, entertainment and/or recreation industries.
- Cert IV Commercial Cookery, Food Safety Supervisor qualification
- Exceptional leadership skills including a proven track record of developing high performing teams, mentoring and coaching
- Proven track record of working in a high paced, active F&B environment and delivering exceptional results
- Creativity and a passion for the role and desire to succeed
- Solid financial and business acumen
- Proven experience in rostering and stocktaking
- A First Aid Certificate
- The ability to obtain a satisfactory Working with Children Check
