What this opportunity involves.
Join a high performing team working across Commercial Buildings in Waterloo and Sydney.
The role will be autonomous, overseeing the day-to-day operations with a strong focus on client relationship management, strategic planning, lifecycle of plant & equipment, project management, capital works and concentrating on the sustainability & economic performance of the assets.
Other priorities will be the health, safety, and security of all visitors and occupants, the implementation of client strategies, preventative maintenance, presentation of the buildings and property management.
A snapshot of the day-to-day duties.
- Understanding our systems and processes that support risk management policies, working to make our buildings safer for tenants, visitors and contractors
- Contractor management
- Being proactive in communicating with tenants formally and informally to gain insights, key drivers and responding to any relevant operational issues promptly
- Confirming that the services engaged and purchased are within the budgeted costs
- Undertaking regular inspections to proactively identify any change or new risk scenarios and ensure that the agreed risk management plan reflects the current state of the asset/s and is implemented in accordance with client instructions
- WHS legislation. Making sure all operations and maintenance functions conform to the Building Code of Australia and other relevant statutory accountability
- Ensure the implementation and completion of client sustainability requirements
- Managing annual budgets and actively contributing to the business planning process for the properties
Before you apply it’s also worth knowing what we are looking for:
You hold some experience in a facilities/ operations management role with an emphasis on commercial property assets and you know how to maximise building performance in terms of sustainability, risk management, and client reporting.
You are positive and tenacious in your daily approach with customer service being your key priority, and you can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Having the ability to be proactive and to identify potential risks through compliance with WH&S is essential. You keep on top of financial management, can cut operational costs, and incur savings during the process.
You thrive managing contractors and have good computer literacy, with the ability to expand these skills as necessary.
