Reporting to the Commercial Contracts Manager, the Commercial Contracts Architect (CCA), will engage with business teams and internal communities to ensure commercial and contractual compliance standards are applied consistently across all commercial contract activities within Roche. The Commercial Contracts Architect is responsible for continuous streamlining of end to end contracts management processes, documentation and Commercial Contracts Management (CLM) systems to maintain a continuous high level of quality across the sales and service contracts function.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Contracts Architect (Contract Specialist), you will:
- Lead, coordinate and evaluate contracts business processes, procedures, documentation and systems to ensure ongoing high quality across the sales and service contracts function
- Identify and manage commercial risks in the end-to-end contract lifecycle to ensure that commercial standards, procedures and processes are applied across all commercial activities within the organisation
- Proactively monitor ongoing fit for purpose contract processes and documentation. Effectively lead commercial projects in the contracts management space
- Provide professional and strategic advice on relevant commercial topics, risk issues and mitigation, contract systems improvements and process efficiencies, from both a contractual and legislative context
- Drive and design continuous improvement initiatives in contract management processes and systems and support the CCM and broader finance and sales teams as needed
- Work with the CCM in preparing and evaluating various Commercial Contracts and tender departures
- Identify KPI requirements and obligations from commercial agreements, and design processes to closely monitor, document and support the business with ongoing compliance
- Ensure that commercial considerations, potential risk and contract compliance issues are continually assessed and provide suggestions for action. Organise and participate in contracts governance discussions to resolve identified issues
Who you are:
As an enterprise thinker you are insightful and able to bring accountability, excellence and a creative approach to your work. With your excellent communication skills you can communicate confidently and clearly adapting to different business needs and proactively share valuable information across the team and broader organisation.
You have:
- Degree in Law, Business, Finance Management or Business Management, or similar
- Understanding of contractual language and commercial business impact.
- A track record of providing contractual expertise relating to the provision of high value complex goods and services
- Demonstrated experience and success in contract systems and process improvement (preferably in the Healthcare industry)
- Significant experience with CLM systems and process improvement within the commercial contract space (preferably in the Healthcare industry)
- Ability to draft effective process and procedure manuals and correspondence
- Ability to evaluate contractual documents and make appropriate suggestions
- High level of digital and IT systems literacy, including contracts systems, to analyse and suggest areas for improvement and/or development.
