We are currently seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to join our Aero Sales team. Reporting to the Program Director, you will be responsible for interfacing with the pilot team and managing all contract and commercial matters relating to the pilot contract with the USN Customer. Additionally, the Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for establishing and managing the contract and commercial matters relating to the partner organisations executing work scope related to the pilot. In addition, the Commercial Contracts Manager provides direction on all subcontracting, export controls (including ITAR), purchasing and Intellectual Property matters for the Pilot.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead commercial and contract negotiations and finalisation with the partners and customer;
· Provide strategic commercial and contract support to the pilot project;
· Oversee the Intellectual Property Program (“IPP”) and ensure that that the IPP is managed efficiently (together with the IP Manager) from a customer, supplier and intercompany perspective;
· Ensure the program understands and is compliant with export controls and technology controls (together with the Export Control Manager);
· Manage the negotiation and execution of Approved Subcontractors, with third parties and related entities) and purchase orders;
· Manage the contractual relationships with the Customer, Subcontractors, and Honeywell corporate resources;
· Ensure regulatory compliance with all necessary accreditations;
· Ensure that the project team are aware of Honeywell’s contractual obligations, contractual timelines and that contractual risk is mitigated; and
· Ensure all program purchasing is executed in time for program requirements.
· Ensure all program work code, booking and charging practices are executed in line with Pilot objectives and requirements.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
· Degree in a legal, engineering or commercial discipline or equivalent experience;
· Detailed knowledge of contract management;
· Working knowledge of regulatory issues, including Intellectual Property; export/import, and ITAR trade controls;
· Working knowledge of procurement and earned value management systems;
· Working knowledge of defence corporate structure;
· Working knowledge of WH&S legislation in the relevant jurisdiction;
· Working knowledge of quality and other compliance systems;
· Experience in managing contracts of up to $50M annual revenue;
· Experience in managing subcontracts;
· Ability to travel interstate and/or overseas when required;
· Must currently hold at least NV1 Australian Security Clearance; and
· Must have Australian citizenship.
