Position Overview:

Step into the role of Trainer/Assessor and not only will you be dishing out top-tier culinary education, but you'll also be the maestro leading our stellar student cohort on a journey of exceptional education.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive work-based training in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality venues.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their skills and passion for the culinary arts.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to staff members across the SIT faculty, fostering their skills and passion for culinary education.
- Develop and update course materials to ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Conduct quality training and assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to support all our students' learning journeys.
- Stay current with industry trends and innovations to deliver relevant and up-to-date instruction.
- Collaborate with the Leadership team to continuously improve the training program.
Qualifications:
- Qualifications in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality.
- (BSB) Business qualifications desirable.
- TAE (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality with a strong industry network.
- Ability to travel within a QLD region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring chefs and Hospitality professionals.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
