The Role
Reporting to the CEO and being a critical member of leadership team, the Commercial Manager's purpose is to plan, lead and control the financial and commercial activities of Arrowquip. The role has two primary objectives, firstly to oversee the traditional aspects of financial management and reporting on all matters money. Secondly, focussing on improving the commercial success of the business through better intelligence, data and analysis working closely across all aspects of the business.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
- Leading the financial team to generate finance accounts and reporting, including overseeing AP, AR, procurement and cash flow
- Generation of annual budgets and planning
- Understanding and gathering all commercial aspects of the business
- Drive improved commercial returns
- Work closely and positively with colleagues and Managers across all divisions
- Develop annual product sales forecasts and manage stock levels through accurate forecasting
- Market priming and launching new products and geographical markets
As the successful candidate for this role you will have a team focused and passion for the agricultural sector, and ideally have history in a manufacturing environment. You will have the following skills and attributes:
- a sound understanding of all matters finance, ideally with a CPA or CA qualifications. It’s important this experience is in all facets of finance from general ledger, BAS right through to Board reporting
- deep commercial experience gathering data and intelligence to support and guide business growth and commercial improvements
- experience and ability to work with a Board and present meaningful and relevant data and commentary to improve results
- exceptional leadership skills not only to lead the internal finance team but also work closely with stakeholders within the business and externally
- ideally from an agricultural background (or at last a passion) with exposure to manufacturing and/or wholesale
