What does the job look like?
As the Commercial Manager, reporting to the General Manager - Commercial and Finance, you will work with Operations staff to develop innovative cost-effective improvement strategies that will drive costs out of the business and be responsible for business analysis, benchmarking and KPI reviews. In this role, you will also lead budget and forecast processes for the portfolio (including analysis and presentation packs). Key areas:
- Business case and tender preparation using the Linfox Capital Assessment Model (CAM) and preparation of papers to support proposal.
- Monitor and execute commercial clauses within customer contracts. This includes rate reviews, rise and fall and incentive margin calculations.
- Development of business performance measures and reporting where required.
- Assist with the analysis and commentary of performance on a weekly basis.
- Resolution of financial issues relating to sites and operational management.
- Liaise with Site/ National Managers to maintain a good understanding of the sites’ activities and performance.
Are you the one?
You will provide strategic, financial and commercial advice and bring forth data driven insight into risks and opportunities that exist within the existing and prospective business. You can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a finance or commercially oriented line role where you have lead budget and forecast processes
- Background in Healthcare sector is highly desirable
- Strong business analysis skills and an ability to communicate at all levels with a high degree of professionalism both verbally and written
- Solid commercial and accounting skills and excellent systems knowledge including Excel (SAP would be an advantage)
- Member of CA or CPA
