- Position Overview
The position is part of the Australian and New Zealand Commercial team reporting to the Australian General Manager. The incumbent is responsible for providing the Australian & New Zealand commercial business with commercial data support to assist management by providing relevant data and information as required. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for preparation commission and bonus calculations, pricing contracts, territory assignment and price deviation controls.
This position will also be key in establishing Australian commercial business reporting requirements. The objectives include to streamline the local reporting requirements to support the local country management and sales teams.
- Primary Objectives
- Responsible for building and maintaining commission and bonus calculation files. Work with Regional management to ensure the calculation process is completed in an accurate, timely and transparent manner.
- Responsible for providing supporting information and execution of pricing contracts in relation to volume based, specific, government (contracts/tenders) and corporates.
- Building and maintaining the customer price re-tiering calculations on a bi-annual basis.
- Establish and maintain the local Power BI reports.
- Support the commercial sales teams with assignment and maintenance of sales territories.
- Ensure compliance with APAC Price Deviation framework.
- Key Responsibilities and Duties
Commission and Bonuses (Monthly)
- Responsible for the management of the monthly commission and bonuses for the commercial sales team.
- Develop Commission and Bonus calculation files in-line with latest Sales Incentive Plans (SIP).
- Provide the FP&A Director with monthly accruals.
- Work with Regional Management to ensure that calculations are accurate and finalised in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the General Manager, FP&A Director and Regional Managers with any questions on the calculation of the commission and bonuses.
- Provide Regional Manager and Team Leaders with statements supporting commission and bonus calculation.
Pricing contracts (ongoing)
- Responsible for managing the implementation of customer price contracts in the ERP system
- Assist with the preparation of price contract journals and working closely with GA Accounting team to load into AX.
- Maintain list of current contracts including commitments, start and end dates. Ensure contracts are saved in centralised file location.
- Provide reports on tracking customer performance versus commitment to relevant Sales Managers.
Pricing Re-Tiering (Bi-Annual)
- Responsible for the management of the BI-Annual customer re-tiering calculation
- Ensure integrity of calculation spreadsheet including sales data and execution of re-tiering of customers within the commercial business guidelines
- Communicate future tiering realignments with Regional Commercial Sales teams to facilitate interaction with customers that can be motivated to increase tiering
- Ensure that re-tiering is executed in AX in an accurate and timely manner by the due dates 1st January and 1 July
Power BI Reporting
- Work in conjunction with the FP&A Analyst and FP&A Director the maintenance and development of the local Power BI reports
- Ensure that existing reports are maintained and accurate.
- Access to reports is managed.
- Work collaboratively with local business partners in understanding reporting needs and develop new reports to meet those requirements.
Territory Management
- Providing support to the Regional Commercial team in preparing customer territory allocations within the ERP system.
- Provide customer and historical sales data to Regional Managers and Team Leaders allowing them to make decisions on geographical territory allocations.
- Work closely with Accounts Receivable team to implement territory changes required.
- Maintain Territory Postcode Master file to be used by the Accounts Receivable team in new customer setups.
Sales Price Deviation SOX control (Monthly)
- Provide support to the Sales Price Deviation owner (SPD) currently: General Manager to ensure that the Commercial business is adhering to APAC policy.
- Produce monthly deviation samples to Regional Sales Manager for review.
- Collate and document responses to be reviewed by SPD owner.
- Load and archive monthly test results to Audit Board.
- Assist with internal audit.
Other
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in new projects designed to grow the business and / or improve the efficiency or profitability of the existing business.
- Assist and perform ad-hoc data analytics to support business decisions.

- 3+ years' experience in a Commercial Analyst or Business Partnering role (preferably Commercial roles)
- Relevant Business / Accounting Degree
- Skills / Competencies
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Power BI is essential
- Sound Commercial acumen coupled with reporting skills
- Strong communication and business partnering skills
- Experience with AX or a comparable (ERP)
