Job description
What you will do (key responsibilities/duties):- Manage the administration of the Common Reporting Platform (CRP) and partner with technical expertise from Information Technology Partners to conduct system roll-overs, enhancement and testing. The CRP is an SQL database which is used for the departments financial performance reporting.- Manage the administration of the department's budget system including configuration and design changes, loading data, system validation, extract of financial data and the maintenance of financial hierarchies.- Apply business acumen and knowledge of financial management processes to develop functional specifications, document business requirements, test plans and business processes.- Provide expert advice on the use of technology to automate financial processes, perform reconciliations and improve integration across financial systems including SAP ECC6, CRP, the budget system and Power BI.- Liaise with stakeholders and information technology providers to optimally design and configure systems that meet the departments requirements and provide a smooth transition to new or enhanced financial systems.- Lead the development of new smart-form payment processes connecting Business Systems with the departments financial systems using the Finance Hub application.- Build partnerships with the department's business groups and finance network to strengthen relationships and increase our ability to influence, develop solutions and deliver outcomes.- Provide strategic advice and recommendations on a range of complex financial and system issues, that solves immediate and emerging client needs.- Analyse financial datasets and apply data modelling techniques to interpret data structures, build relationships and develop financial reports.- Provide leadership, mentoring and support to team members.
