About the Role:

As a Estimator/Planner at Southern Impact, you'll oversee projects across production departments, estimate work, collaborate with suppliers, manage job details, handle inquiries, prepare impositions, and ensure timely purchase orders. You'll also manage the print job workflows through to production for a client group.  This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Estimating work for allocated accounts across various production departments such as offset, digital, wide format, mailing, and kitting.
• Converting estimates to jobs and updating details as required.
• Collaborating with the Operations Manager to select suitable suppliers and negotiate pricing for stock, finishing, etc.
• Inputting all jobs into the computer system, ensuring the receipt of appropriate paperwork (purchase orders from customers, quotes, estimates, delivery details, etc.).
• Handling general inquiries from customers or account managers as needed for day-to-day account management.
• Preparing impositions and ensuring their accuracy.
• Ensuring timely raising of purchase orders for materials or outside services within the quoted price.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of printing industry experience with deep knowledge of print processes, technologies, and standards.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Print Estimator, Job Planner, Project Manager, or similar roles.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills for interactions with clients, team members, and suppliers.
• Strong Mathematical Skills and Excel Proficiency for accurate estimations, calculations, and data analysis.
• Collaborative teamwork abilities to ensure seamless project execution and foster a positive team environment.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organisational skills.
• Familiarity with printing software and technologies like Adobe Creative Suite and digital printing equipment.
• Customer service orientation with dedication to understanding and meeting client needs throughout project lifecycles.
