Commercial Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning Technician

At MAE Refrigeration, we provide Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning services to supermarkets, shopping centres, cold rooms, cold storage facilities, and other commercial premises throughout the Far North Queensland region.

Our team of technicians look after many of Cairns’ largest refrigerated facilities which utilise rack systems operating on standard refrigerants, and also CO2. Many of our sites utilise a range of control systems including Danfoss, Innotec, and Carel – some of which are due for upgrades in the near future. We also offer the opportunity to work on large food processing facilities situated in remote areas (up to a two-hour drive from Cairns).

What are we looking for?

You will have:

• A trade qualification in Air Conditioning and refrigeration 
• Current Restricted Electrical Licence, ARC Licence, White Card, and Driver’s Licence 
• The ability to participate in an on-call roster, usually shared across the team every 5 weeks (participation is preferred but not essential for the role)
• Demonstrated experience in commercial Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning
