Job Summary
NetApp is looking for a Commercial Territory Rep to join our exceptional team in Sydney NSW. We are looking for a motivated sales person to understand and sell NetApp's full Product, cloud and professional services portfolio to new and existing NetApp customers across NSW's Commercial Territory accounts, as well as maintaining positive on-going relationships to meet our customers evolving needs.
Working in conjunction with our trusted channel partners, your focus areas will be in prospecting, developing business, generating proposals for presentation to customers, and selling our industry leading solutions. You will be supported by cross-functional teams from NetApp's Marketing, Systems Engineering and Product Development functions to reach and exceed sales performance goals. You will use your excellent relationship building, negotiating, and strong technical skills to be successful in this role.
Job Requirements
The essential responsibilities of the Commercial Territory Rep are to work directly with NetApp's partners and their customers to create and capture sales opportunities and to work effectively across functions with other NetApp employees. Specific areas of responsibility that you will be responsible for include:

  • Leverage existing industry contacts in the technology space in to acquire new customers
  • Identify, source and initiate contact with new prospects
  • Manage the sales pipeline to quickly grow prospects into new customers
  • Further develop existing customer relationships to increase our product utilisation
  • Enhance ongoing communication to maintain high customer satisfaction levels
  • Proactively identify and address customer challenges.
  • Maintain and demonstrate both a commercial and technical understanding of NetApp's products and services in order to appeal to a broad customer audience
  • Responsible for the creation, implementation, and execution of sales plans
  • Regular forecasting and reporting of revenue
  • Managing a sales pipeline to deliver weekly/quarterly/half-yearly quota.
  • Strong discipline around managing sales stages and SFDC hygiene.
  • Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecast.
  • Engage a programmatic approach to demand generation to expand your territory.
  • Provide, or facilitate training opportunities for your accounts.
  • Identify NetApp customer references that can be used when selling.
Skills & Experience Required
  • 3+years of overall sales experience, preferably in the IT space with strong understanding of its' sales cycle and know-hows in growing this territory
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of Channel/Partner Eco-system in a similar environment as NetApp
  • Ability to collaborate with employees within department and across functions.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions.
  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
  • Conversant in the space of Data Centre and Infrastructures coupled with either cloud, dev ops or software knowledge and experience
