Role Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager and working within a collaborative team environment, the Commercial Lead will play a crucial role in a strong organisation with a robust pipeline of solar, storage, and hybrid projects across the NEM states. These projects are in various stages of development, and the company intends to finance and deliver them over the coming years. You will work in partnership with the major project team and will lead the procurement and contract negotiation for major equipment supply and construction constructs to enable these projects to be delivered.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing the project contracting strategy with due consideration to project cost and risk, including interfaces and considerations relating to grid connection works and energy plant design, procurement, and construction.
  • Engage with potential suppliers and contractors.
  • Prepare documents to solicit information and firm tenders.
  • Negotiate contract terms in collaboration with key technical and legal resources within the team.
  • Evaluate offers, working closely with key technical and commercial resources within the team.
About You:
  • Experience in developing project contracting strategies.
  • Strong market engagement and supplier negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in preparing and managing tender documents.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and legal teams to finalize contract terms.
  • Skilled in evaluating commercial offers with a keen understanding of project cost and risk.
