Reporting to the Director, this position is a site-based role on small to medium commercial and multi-residential projects for a growing Carpentry company based on Sunshine Coast. THE ROLE:
- Responsible for carrying out general construction works and supervision of team members on site.
- Liaising with Project Managers to ensure all program dates align with the construction program.
- Supervising the work of Apprentices and other team members onsite, whilst offering guidance and mentoring.
- Responsible for WHS compliances onsite.
- Maintaining record of work activities including daily logs and time budgets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction, demonstrating problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar construction-based position.
- Highly organized and able to work well under pressure.
- Must be able to work autonomously as well as part of the team.
- Experience in interpreting plans with an eye for detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Valid Driver's License with reliable vehicle
- Be able to promote and develop a positive safety culture across the business.
