About the role

We have opportunities available for experienced Commissioning Coordinator to join our construction team on an iconic Iron Ore Construction Project located in the Pilbara region of WA working a 2/1 FIFO Roster from Brisbane or Perth.

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the preparation of detailed Facility defined System No-Load Commissioning Procedures to cover all aspects of system commissioning, according to the project facility they are allocated to (Mine / Port / TMF).

The role

  • Contribute to the achievement of Crushing Services International safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences.
  • Provide input in the development to a detailed commissioning schedule and plan covering all aspects of pre-commissioning and start-up phases through to handover.
  • Reviewing schedules for coordinated and efficient sequencing of Commissioning activities to optimise overall project scope, costs, time and resources for all parties.
  • Assist in the planning and co-ordination the commissioning/start up schedule and necessary work with third party providers.
  • Develop pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation and correct any deficiencies found.
  • Ensure compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Prepare company acceptance forms and ensure satisfactory sign-off is obtained.
  • Develop comprehensive quality, environment and safety commissioning plans.
  • Observe safe systems of work relevant to your work area and report potential hazards.

 What you’ll bring to the team

  • Electrical Trade or Engineering background.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction and commissioning of large scale materials handling (preferably Iron Ore) and associated NPI facilities.
  • Experience leading teams and communicating with internal and external stakeholders including sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Proficient with CCMS and Microsoft Office.
  • C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Current WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical Licence
  • Section 44
  • S26 desirable but not essential
  • Electrical nominee / contractor registration desirable
