About the role
We are looking for Commissioning Engineers to work with our Commissioning Manager to deliver the commissioning activities for the amplification works’ Sydney Water require in our growing state. The role/s will be site based permanent full time roles. The successful applicant will possess experience within a similar role, in the Water Industry. This role sits within a close-knit collaborative team who interface regularly with multiple skilled disciplines and Sydney Water operations.
Key Responsibilities
- testing and commissioning activities including managing internal and sub-contracting resources
- compose and compile commissioning methodology, management plans, relay test plants, ITPs, test reports, commissioning plans and relevant documentation,
- Planning and implementation of commissioning tasks including, Commissioning Plans, Cutover plans, Equipment energisation plan, Flow Isolation and management, assert validation and verification.
- Commissioning activities including FAT Dry- commissioning, SAT, Operational readiness, process proving, decommissioning and disposal of assets.
- validate design and verify complex protection and control philosophies / schemes
- engineering support to assist with design, bids and tender submissions
- communicate and share knowledge to a wide range of internal and external customers with a range of technical background
- Commissioning and performance optimisation of various water/wastewater processes including digesters, sewage pumping station, Bio-reactors, clarifiers, chemical dosing systems etc.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years’ experience in project engineering, construction and commissioning.
- Experience in Water and Wastewater sector, both treatment and transfer infrastructure.
- Subject matter expert of technical functions of all waste-water equipment and infrastructure across all phases including Identification, capture, delivery and close.
- Attention to detail, trouble shooting ability and a strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of HSE and statutory requirements
- Expertise in HMI and SCADA interfaces.
- Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to produce correspondence and technical reports.
