The Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of Project Commissioning, including Commissioning Engineers, Commissioning officers and external providers to deliver a high quality, flexible and responsive technical service. The role is responsible for the technical aspects (functions) throughout the project lifecycle from capture to close-out under delivery models. The role manages all technical resource requirements for delivery of and commissioning services to project teams and provides mentoring and development of teams. The role provides effective management oversight and co-ordination of the commissioning to drive efficiency, continuous improvement and ensure the commissioning programme delivers on time and within budget. The role is responsible for ensuring innovation, value, and technical differentiation for changing market opportunities.
- End to end oversight and involvement in delivery.
- Plan and support the commissioning phase of projects including client, internal and external stakeholders.
- Enable successful commissioning and provide specialist input.
- Provide support, input, and technical management.
- Manage and mentor specialist team, build specialist expertise to capture value.
- Technical support and SME for opportunity capture, Business development and customer relationships.
- Actively manage the profitability of the operational cost centre to achieve budgetary targets.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 7 years’ engineering / commissioning experience in power/traction sector
- Electrical Engineering Qualification, white card, current drivers' license.
- Ability to mentor and grow a team of highly skilled and experienced technical resources required for existing and emerging market opportunities.
- Experience in providing subject matter expertise for technical functions for all phases (identification, capture, delivery and close).
- Proven positive customer relationship experience and ability to build strong customer relationships that result in repeat business opportunities.
- Must be willing to travel.
