Our products include packet seeds, bulbs, propagation accessories, all-in-one grow kits, garden gifts and garden tools.
Our retail customers include national retailers such as Bunnings and thousands of independent garden retailers nationwide. We are located in Windsor (North-West Sydney) and have a team of approx. Fifty people – including the office, warehouse and field sales team.
We are looking for a Local Production/Procurement Lead to join our busy Operations team.
The responsibilities of the role would include:
- Production planning and forecasting
- Raw material forecasting and ordering
- Liasing with 3PL on external production priorities
- Managing local Seed production program utilising both machine and manual packing teams
- Stock and Inventory Management
- Liaise with Product Managers regarding new product planning from raw materials to production
- Maintaining a good working relationship with existing suppliers
- Sourcing potential new suppliers
- External storage reviews
- Quality control of seeds, bulbs, packaging and production
- Sustainability initiatives
- Data Entry of work orders, purchase orders, stock receipts etc into inventory management/ERP system
- Managing supplier performance and reporting on supplier DIFOT
- Improve production efficiencies
- Reporting:
- Status on outstanding lines
- Out of stocks
- Weekly & Monthly local production results & performance
- External storage levels
- Ad hoc reports as required

What you will need to apply:
- Previous experience in production management and procurement desired
- Attention to detail ensuring accuracy of data
- Understanding of supply chain processes
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office in particular Excel (preferably full Office Suite)
- Good time management
- A high level of organisation and the ability to multitask
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently and effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
