The role will consist of trading physical and financial products associated with agriculture both within Australia market areas as well as globally. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator who demonstrates great ability to work both independently and within a team setting, especially while attempting to solve challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect and organize information on an assigned commodity
- Coordinate and manage the buying and selling activities for the assigned commodity
- Responsible for the research and analysis with a global analytical scope targeting the related product's regional and time spreads differences, and report writing for team discussions
- Develop upstream and downstream resources, establish decent procurement and sale channels, and be responsible for the procurement and sales of related varieties
- Determine supply and demand, survey market conditions, and analyze other economic forces in order to establish position in the market
- Responsible for the formulation of commodity futures and financial derivatives hedging strategies and position management
- Initiate, negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sales contracts, and arrange efficient transportation of commodities
- Maintain regular customer communication and develop customer relationships
- Maintain company's reputation through careful and honest handling of customer/suppler relations
- Other task as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Must have legal authorization to work in Australia on a full-time basis
- Bachelor's degree or above (Business, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Physical Sciences, Engineering and other related fields preferred)
- Recent graduates with 0-3 years of work experiences are welcomed to apply
- Practical, diligent, self-motivated
- Responsible for assessing and making quick decisions under pressure
- Willing to learn with a can-do attitude
- Excellent business sense, analytical mindset as well as critical thinking skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate efficiently with teammates and clients
