About the role
We are recruiting one hard working cleaner for Common Areas, flexible with days/evenings and possibly weekends, working 20 hours a week. This work can be physically demanding, and heavy lifting may be involved. You will be mature (perhaps nearing retirement), able to handle responsibility, reliable and have cleaning experience. We are looking for motivated, friendly, and well-presented team members to join our small but enthusiastic team, for casual work, which includes days and evenings and may include weekends. This is a physical job and cleaning experience is required. A current drivers’ licence is mandatory.
Your previous building cleaning roles will provide useful experience to fulfil and understand each task required to keep the Common Areas of the property clean and well maintained.
- You will need experience in physical work
- Ability to achieve successful police check
- Commitment to accepting responsibility for completing tasks
- Willingness to work a mix of days (6am to 1.30pm) and evenings (4pm to 10pm) and/or weekends (possibly).
Your key duties will be varied and include:
- Cleaning duties in Common Areas
- Waste disposal management using skip and recycling bins
- Ensuring all duties are carried out as per schedules
- Pools and ground maintenance
We need people with:
- Good communication skills to relate to all generations (without anger/aggression issues) and clear speech
- Ability to read English (safety with chemicals)
- Appropriate fitness and capacity to complete the full range of prescribed duties
- Neat and tidy appearance and presentation during shifts
- A commitment to punctuality, reliability, and pride in work at Imperial Surf
- Work referees
Remuneration is based on Hospitality Award, Guest Services base rate plus weekend loading.
About the business
Imperial Surf is in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, right on the beach. The building is 40 stories high and occupied by residents and holiday makers. Two basement areas are for carparks.
