Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Communications Technician (Sparky) to join our team. You will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cutting-edge systems, including Avoidance Collision Systems, Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS), Fleet Management Systems (FMS), as well as High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced communications systems and equipment.
- Ensure optimal performance and safety of Avoidance Collision Systems.
- Support and maintain Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) and Fleet Management Systems (FMS).
- Manage and maintain both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems.
- Collaborate with our engineering team to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct regular inspections and provide timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Communications Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Avoidance Collision Systems, AHS, FMS, HV, and LV systems (highly desirable).
- Relevant certifications or technical qualifications in communications or electrical engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
