Job Description:About the roleWe are seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team here at QIC on a 15-month, contract. This role is pivotal in supporting our corporate communications activities by developing strategic communication plans and offering stakeholder relations advisory.The ideal candidate will possess the ability to craft clear and compelling messages, effectively managing the pipeline of sustainability communications and reports. They will also contribute to the broader development of thought leadership materials, including insights, presentations, flyers, web and digital copy, and key messaging.Reporting to the Corporate and ESG Communications Manager, this role demands a keen eye for detail, very strong writing and content ideation skills, and a grasp of sustainability. There is a preference for a candidate with financial sector experience.   • Produce a variety of high-quality and timely sustainability and corporate communication materials to meet QIC's external communication needs, including thought leadership papers, web/EDM copy, key messaging, flyers, editorials, award submissions, advertisements, reports, social media content, and speeches.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate and ESG Communications Manager, Investment Management teams, ESG team, and other key internal stakeholders to identify, prepare and execute a pipeline of external communications.
  • Develop communication plans to support QIC's announcements across asset classes with a focus reaching on public audiences.
  • Lead the development of quality sustainability communications and reports.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for continuous improvement and fulfill other duties as directed by the Corporate and ESG Communications Manager.
  • Ensure consistently strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, exercising sound judgment in corporate communication outcomes.
About youYou will be both passionate and knowledgeable about sustainability and corporate communications with exceptional technical writing and verbal communication skills. You will also possess the following:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in communications and/or marketing.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with strengths in writing for diverse platforms and audiences.
  • Strong ability to understand and interpret stakeholder relations issues and priorities.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate tasks and meet multiple deadlines from various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data entry, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive for continuous professional improvement and development.
