Protocol Electronic Solutions is currently looking for an experienced and proactive full-time Communications Technician to join our team.
This position will report to site supervisors and company directors, playing an integral role in providing our clients with accurate and timely installation, testing and maintenance for a variety of communications and electronic equipment.

At Protocol Electronic Solutions we specialise in providing high quality to our clients with a variety of telecommunication and electronic solutions, primarily working within the mining and construction sector.
About the Role Working alongside a highly experienced and knowledgeable team, this role will allow you to further develop your skill set and challenge yourself. No two days are the same but some of your key responsibilities will include:
· General fibre, data cabling and structured cabling.
· Installation, testing and maintenance of a variety of communications including:
o MATV
o CCTV
o Wi-Fi
o PtP and PtMP links
o Networking
o Access control and intercoms
· Pro-active service through comprehensive testing and fault finding.
· Ensuring high quality work while maintaining company and client standards, safety and compliance documentation.
About You
You would be perfect for the role if you have:
· Minimum 4 years’ experience within the Communications Technician space.
· Experience in the mining and construction industry, desirable but not essential.
· ACMA (Austel) Cabling License – open registration with endorsement for structured and coax.
· WA Security Installers License.
Work Health & Safety card.
· WA Police Integrity check.
· WA Drivers License.
· Residency in WA is essential.
The ideal candidate will also have:
· Excellent customer service skills and a strong customer focus.
· Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
· A confidence in their capabilities and expertise.
· An eagerness to learn new skills and procedures.
· The ability to work towards performance-based targets and set schedules.
· High attention to detail, delivering work on time and to an excellent standard.
· Pride in their personal presentation.
· The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
