About the role
This is an exciting casual opportunity to join Bene Aged Care’s – Home Care Program as a Community Support Worker to service our clients with differing needs and to provide them with the appropriate support to achieve their goal of living independently within their own home.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will be working collaboratively with the home care team to provide care and support to older people living in their own homes, to help empower their independence and improve their quality of life.
Your part in our Bene Aged Care Family
As a Community Support Worker, you will be required to assist with personal grooming and hygiene, medication assistance, transport, social inclusion, and domestic duties as required.
- Giving personal care – helping with showering and getting dressed and ready for the day
- Providing transport for well-being - driving to appointments, and accompanying clients on shopping trips and other social outings
- Domestic Assistance: Cleaning the homes of older people so they have a safe and beautiful place to live
- Monitoring and reporting any changes, uncharacteristic behaviours, and/or concerns regarding our clients’ physical or emotional well-being or living environment;
What makes a difference for us?
- A CERT III in Individual Support (Aging, home, and Community Services) is desirable
- A current unrestricted driver's license with comprehensive insurance and use of own vehicle
- You’ll also be flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients.
- First Aid & CPR, Manual Handling Certificate
- Current National Police Certificate
- Minimum 3 COVID-19 vaccinations and seasonal influenza vaccination 2023
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
