About the Opportunity:
Flinders Foundation knows how important it is to build and nurture relationships within the community.
  
The Community Engagement Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting a variety of community fundraising initiatives that engage a broad range of stakeholders, and generate philanthropic support for health and medical research and patient care projects at Flinders.
  
Responsibilities include:
  • coordinating logistics for community fundraising activations and events
  • welcoming, on-boarding and supporting community fundraising participants
  • hosting tours and coordinating engagement activities to thank supporters
  • engaging with corporate partners, and seeking in-kind support for auctions and raffles
  • coordinating volunteers to ensure the success of community fundraising events

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate:
  • 2+ years prior experience in a role that involves high empathy/service levels to clients, supporters or the community.
  • Successful track record in engagement, fundraising and/or events.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships across a highly diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Proven organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Upbeat, friendly, courteous and respectful phone manner as well as comforting personal demeanor.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capable of applying appropriate discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends.
Candidates will be required to provide a current SAPOL police check, DHS Working with Children’s Check and evidence that they have received two doses of a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine, or have a medical exemption as per SAHLN policy requirements.

Flinders Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation in the Health Care Sector. This means that you can salary package up to $15,900 per annum for living expenses and $2,650 for meals/entertainment to reduce your tax.
