A bit about the role

This role is a great opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual who will contribute to the planning and implementation of major Council events.  In this role you will also provide compliance advice and assistance to community groups and organisations running events and activities within the City of Casey.

Due to the nature of the role, some evening and weekend work will be required. During peak times (October – April) you may work one or two weekends per month.

What you’ll deliver

  • All logistical aspects of a range of Council initiated events. 
  • Strong focus on risk management strategies, operations plans and emergency plans ensuring they are in place for planned Council events and activities. 
  • Assistance to the community and internal event organisers meeting all requirements in the Event Approval Application process.
  • Influence events, promotion of ideas.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering events with qualifications in Events Management highly desirable
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset
  • Analytical mind to solve problems through critical thinking
  • Resilience to adapt to changing circumstances and maintain stable performance when under pressure
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends when required
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
