The Role:
As a Midwife, you'll play a pivotal role in improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people, focusing on providing culturally sensitive care to women, partners, families, and newborns. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering comprehensive, evidence-based nursing and midwifery care
- Offering education and support during pregnancy to reduce risk factors and promote healthy behaviors
- Conducting antenatal and postnatal care, including referrals and follow-up
- Facilitating client engagement with essential services
- Collaborating with partners to coordinate obstetric clinics and specialist interventions
- Contributing to program implementation, quality improvement, and data reporting efforts
- AHPRA Registration
- Working With Children Check and National Police Certificate (conditional employment)
- Current Driver's License
- CPR Certification
- Triple COVID-19 Vaccination as per WA Government mandate
- Willingness to undergo regular random drug and alcohol testing
