Community Midwife - WA
Permanent Role
Full Time - 75 hours per fortnight
As a Community Midwife, you'll play a crucial role in:
- Collaborating closely with pregnant Aboriginal women and mothers using a caseload approach to deliver comprehensive visiting services, supporting them and their children (up to two years old) in homes or community setting
- Establishing trusting relationships through sensitive and culturally appropriate approaches to care
- Working in with maternal and child health personnel, including local Aboriginal Family Support/Partnership Workers
What You Need:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum 3 years' relevant clinical experience
- AHPRA registration
- Driving Licence for flexibility and reach
- Cultural competency-bridging gaps with empathy and understanding
- Demonstrated competencies in caring for Aboriginal children and their families
Desirable Criteria:
- Dual registration in midwifery and/or qualifications in child health and development
- Previous experience working within an Aboriginal Community
