Access Therapist makes it easier for NDIS Participants to access quality occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, and mental health social work services from the comfort of their own home either through OT Face to face visit or platform link.

About the role
As a result of a growing business need, we have a unique opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist available. This role will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services both in-person and via telehealth to persons presenting with a range of needs including complex care, intellectual disabilities, communication difficulties, mental health, and behaviours of concern. Working across a variety of in-person and telehealth settings, you will be responsible for initial assessments, programs, and reporting.
A key focus of your role will be to empower clients and their families to make positive choices related to community support and independence. The team is strong with culture, inclusiveness and passion for learning, development and evidence-based practice!
This role reports directly to the Occupational Therapist – Team Lead and is a full-time, hybrid role where you will work a combination of in client home and telehealth. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality specialist care to participants with psychosocial diagnoses to optimise and improve their health and functional outcomes
- Effectively manage a designated caseload, maintaining participant files, inclusive of timely notes, calendar management, follow-up appointments
- Liaise and build rapport with participants, their families, and other members of their support network
- Provide a range of Telehealth and Face-to-face OT assessments and interventions to assist participants to maximise their independence and wellbeing
- Plan, and conduct on-going capacity building therapy with participants
- Evaluate OT intervention programs and modify plans as required to facilitate the achievement of goals
- Write effective reports for communication with the NDIS to facilitate appropriate funding for participants
- Ensure that clinical processes reflect best practice and are of the highest industry standard
- Abide by Access Telehealth’s policies and procedures, inclusive of incident reporting and complaints management processes
About You
- Undergraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
- 2 years+ experience (PQE)
- Experience with and strong understanding of NDIS
- A passion for collaboration and supportive environments
- Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied clinical caseload
- Highly organised and efficient self-starter
- Refined report writing skills
To be able to undertake this role you will require the following prior to commencement
- NDIS Working Screening Check (NDISWC)
- Working with Children Check or the Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWCC / WWVPC)
