About the role
As an Occupational Therapist your responsibilities will include:
- To balance own caseload incorporating clinic and community clients
- Assist clients to enhance safety and independence within their home through home assessments and treatment follow ups. (Education, retraining, home modification, and demonstration of aids and/or equipment)
- Work collaboratively with clients, support workers and relevant service providers to establish a therapy program that reflects goals, self-management, independence, and quality of life to an attainable level.
- Liaising closely with other health professional bodies to achieve outcomes reflective of client’s goals
- Use robotics and computer based devices to improve and maximise client function
- Providing detailed reports to various internal and external stakeholders
- Assist clients in procuring aids, assistive technology, and home modifications through various funding bodies
To be Successful in this Role you will have:
- A qualification in Occupational Therapy and be AHPRA registered
- At least 2 years experience as an Occupational Therapist
- An interest in rehabilitation and robotics
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities
- A current and clean Australian Driver’s License.
- All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check, and an NDIS Workers Screening Check.
