About the Role

We are looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to fulfil Community Outreach support and administrative duties for a program based in Port Macquarie. You will have the opportunity to work within a supportive team environment while also having the autonomy to make a meaningful difference in the lives of participants.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker, supporting participants across ages from youth to elderly
  • Ability to work both within a team and autonomously
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine desire to support people with additional needs using a person-centered approach, understand participant needs and support planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with intake reviews, assessments & referral processes
  • Liaising with service & support staff and provide assistance with complex cases.
  • Competent in working with people with a disability and or Mental Health diagnosis

Mandatory Requirements

To apply for this role, you must have the following:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Employee Working with Children Check
  • Current National Police Check conducted within the last 6 months
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
  • Valid Australian driver's license (with a reliable and comprehensively insured car)
  • A nationally recognised Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care)
