We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for Support Workers and professionals from diverse backgrounds for our cherished Aged Care and Disability clients. You'll be providing essential support to individuals living independently in their own homes throughout the Sutherland Shire regions.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Empathetic Community Support: Offer assistance to individuals within our community who require support with social interactions, transportation to appointments, shopping, or outings.
- Dignified Personal Care: Provide personalized care to our clients with the utmost dignity and respect, including tasks such as showering, grooming, and dressing.
- Home Assistance and Companionship: Play a crucial role in enabling our clients to maintain their independence at home by assisting with domestic tasks, meal preparation, cleaning, and, perhaps most importantly, providing companionship and emotional support.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training
- Candidates from hospitality, retail and customer service industries are encouraged to apply
- Students in health and medical department are welcome to apply
- Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly desirable
- Experience in either aged care or community is highly desirable
- A valid driver's license and own vehicle is highly desirable
- Current First Aid certificate (mandatory)
- Current Police Check (mandatory)
- NDIS Worker screening check (mandatory)
- Working with Children Check
- Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination (fully vaccinated with booster shot) as our work is around vulnerable people (mandatory)
