The Opportunity
we are seeking dedicated and empathetic Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients by providing personalized support and assistance.
Role Description
You will be responsible for providing clients with high quality support and care that addresses individual needs, and enhances independence, abilities, community participation and/or quality of life in support of the client’s individual goals and aspirations. This may include assisting in the following areas:
- Personal care (showering, toileting, dressing, and continence care)
- Meal preparation
- Shopping assistance
- Transportation to appointments and community activities
- Domestic assistance and laundry
- Social support and respite
- Medication prompts.
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability/Home and Community) or willing to Obtain
- Experience working in aged care, disability, or community nursing (desirable)
- Clean, reliable car with comprehensive motor insurance
- Access to a smartphone for work purposes
- Reliable hours and days of availability
- Willingness to travel
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Caring nature, professional approach and passion for aged care and disability
