It has an operational budget of $130 million and employs approximately 820 EFT, representing over 1000 staff. The Program has a number of clinical units including three adult units (Casey, Dandenong and Clayton), an Early in Life Mental Health Service (comprising infant, child, and adolescent services), Young Persons’ Mental Health Service, Psychology and Specialist Services (PsySS),
Drug & Alcohol service and Gender Dysphoria Clinic. Southern Synergy supports the Mental Health Programs with specialist research innovations.The program has five PARCS (Prevention and Recovery Care Services) which includes a specialist Women’s only PARCS, an Extended Care PARCS and Youth PARCS. The clinical service is supported by an aligned operational structure to enable the provision of high quality service through the creation of clinical-operational partnerships to support staff, patients, carers and their families, and a strong professional structure that supports the governance of the health professional workforce.Monash Health
Drug & Alcohol ServicesThe Monash Health
Drug & Alcohol Service (MHDAS) operationally reports through to the Mental Health Program and is committed to providing opportunities for change and growth by reducing drug use, the harms from drug use, improving physical and mental health, and reconnecting and or maintaining people’s connections to their family and the community. The principle catchment areas are the Cities of Greater Dandenong, Casey and the Shire of Cardinia with sites located in Dandenong, Pakenham, Cranbourne and Berwick. The service employs approximately 75 EFT staff and budget of approximately $12.5 million. We provide a wide range of services across the continuum of substance use and dependence.
About the RoleApplications are invited for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to lead the multidisciplinary
Drug & Alcohol Treatment Services team. Service components under the management of this role include services that form part of the South East Consortium of
Drug & Alcohol Agencies (SECADA) which are assessment, counselling, non-residential withdrawal services, The youth outreach, youth supported accommodation, Alcohol & Drug Liaison Outreach Worker (ADLOW) and the Aboriginal Metropolitan Ice Partnership. Counselling includes both standard and complex presentations, forensic clients either self-referred or referred through ACSO COATS. This position will also maintain a counselling case load of standard and complex counselling clients meeting at least 11 courses of treatment each month.The position is also required to monitor and liaise with SECADA Services to ensure the effective running of this consortium to the best of the positions ability. The role will also provide support to the Community Services Manager and the Director Clinical Operations and other
Team Leaders maintaining a board understanding of the needs of the service as a whole. Monthly reporting is required of operational management and financial progress to all cost centers within the responsibility of this role along with monthly and quarterly monitoring of KPI’s.The
Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality, accessible, holistic health care services; using consumer feedback in its development and review. The position will uphold Monash Health, the
Drug & Alcohol Services and Mental Health Program’s Vision, Purpose and Values whilst being focused achieving the set Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and financial targets, and the formulation of KPI and financial targets where these have not yet been established.
